Geeky girls

You know who I'm in lvoe with? Josie Long. The English comedian. If she isn't regarded at the new comedy geek goddess, she should be. Here is someone who in the most recent episode of her Radio 4 show All of the Planet's Wonders complained "When you're 8 a fact alone can justify a conversation. Did you know a female herring lays half a million eggs? I wish it was like that was more normal in adult life." How can you not love that?

She's into collecting, books, learning and is totally a geeky sort of girl. It's like... if Eddie Izzard was someone you knew in highschool, she would have been the girl who hung out with him*. She's not just the female Eddie, because... you know... Eddie is the female Eddie. But they belong together in that sort of area of geeky happy to be learning people. And she made a joke about Hieronymus Bosch in one of the episodes, which is impressive in and of itself.

*This idea is a little tricky since she's 26, he's 47 and I'm 32. The three of us would NEVER have been in HS together, but just work with me on this okay?
