Okay, you guys know I'm not dumb right?
Someone help me here, because I'm just not getting it. I've read this story in three different places now and I'm just not seeing it. Am I having an ADD moment? Is this my dyslexia? Apart from the swapped letters thing, dyslexia can muddle words and concepts around in your head and make perfectly straightforward sentences sound cock-eyed. ADD sometimes can cause you to tune out even when you think you’re actively listening/reading. I am prepared to admit the problem might be on my end, but I doubt it.
I’m just having a hell of a lot of trouble in seeing how the fuck scaring the shit out of someone supposed to help you sell cars? Particularly since people have been stalked and murdered by people who started with internet harassment, it seems like a bad idea. It’s pretty clear from what I’ve read that Saatchi & Saatchi knew they were fucking around and skirting towards illegal territory, but they hoped that they could hide behind this informed consent bullshit. They’ve pull shit like this before though, so we know they’re stupid. I’m wondering why Toyota gave it the thumbs up.
Seriously, how the fuck does this help sell cars?
