Sequels

A Better Tomorrow 2 and The Mummy Returns between them just about make the ultimate sequel. Not best, I did not say best, I said ultimate.

Think about it, together they have just about all the hallmarks.

Added a kid (and a SASSY kid at that)
Twin brother of the popular character who died in the last movie
Newly contrived backstory
Everybody lived together in a past life
Charters who shouldn't return do it anyway
More action
I said MORE ACTION!
And you've got the ever dreaded "expanded the mythology" option in there too.

The only thing they don't do is set up for a third installment. Both movies had third installments, but neither actually set them up.


Also, watch this and then read this. Comedy gold.
